5 Brands You'll Want To Have On Your Radar... #TruffleShoutOuts

After our previous blog on the joys of collaboration and MOB Kitchen’s initiative to support startups, we thought it only right to come through with a follow up on some of the food and drinks brands that have caught our attention recently.

This concept of brands elevating brands has never been as fundamentally important as it as now during lockdown 2.0. With government regulations forcing many businesses to close and everyone collectively spending more time re-embracing the great indoors, two things are actually quite certain (you heard it here first Bojo):

  1. Startups need exposure from the bigger industry players if they are to survive

  2. We will all probably attempt to channel our inner culinary maestros this Winter

So whether you’re brushing the dust off your Ottloengi book, deep in a Gordon Ramsey YouTube hole… or simply in need of some new tasty deliveries in your life, read on. It’s time for the Truffle shout-outs of our FAVE up ‘n’ coming, truly tasteful brands that we want to support and see fly this year, against all the odds...

Buns From Home - @bunsfromhome

This startup began making croissant buns in their kitchen during lock down and now have their very own digs at 128 Talbot Road, just off Portobello Market. Cinnamon, hazelnut, almond, honey… These guys have got BUNS hun. Not to mention their dauphinoise focaccia, apple crumble and more in-store treats!

Rapscallion Soda - @rapscallion_soda

This Scotland based bunch got our heads turning with their unique, fresh packaging and the innovative variety of flavours they have on offer. Being the polar opposite of basic, you can expect flavours like rhubarb, burnt lemon and cranachan soda. Their feed is carefully curated and filled with beautifully shot content. And we obviously love seeing their team on their stories too!

Bare Bones Chocolate - @bareboneschocolate

A micro-based brewery in Glasgow, producing their bean-to-bar chocolate range of carefully selected flavours in a minimalistic-style branding, dreamy. The simple, clean aesthetic of their packaging is completely coherent with their instagram which boasts a feed that is far too easy on the eye. We love their cohesive manner, attention to deal and coordination.

NIO cocktails - @niococktailsuk

NIO cocktails are bringing us the gift of enjoying faaaancy pre-mixed and expertly crafted cocktails without having to trek anywhere! Their punchy-flavoured, classy cocktails arrive in a fully compact and chic design with nothing left to do except to pour with ice and enjoy. And no, we weren't paid to say that.

The Pudding Stop - @thepuddingstop

These pud-geniuses have been around for quite some time, whipping up handmade pastries, doughnuts, brownies and crumbles that you can’t ignore. For anyone with a sweet tooth, welcome to heaven. If you’re not close to the store for collection or local delivery, their ‘bake at home’ collection is available at selfridges. We talkin’ baked cookie dough, sticky toffee, the list goes on...

Now that we've all got our deliveries sorted for the next month, that's a wrap!
