Everything We're Loving Right Now | Valentine's Day 2023

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the lovely friends of Truffle!

In honour of the day of ❤, we’re shedding light on some of the things we’re loving at the moment. After all, it’s easy to get bogged down in the negativity of the internet sometimes – it never hurts to be reminded of the happier things.

The Library is OPEN

A couple of months ago, we decided to set up a team book club to encourage the Trufflers to spend some time away from their phones and help their mental wellbeing. It’s a no-pressure kind of thing, just with the loose guidelines of everyone reading at least one book a month. From Daisy Jones and the Six to On the Road to Manifest, we’ve seen the team pick up quite the range of genres and styles. We can’t wait to see what February has in store for our GoodReads accounts!

Time for TV

When all else fails, trusty old Netflix comes to the rescue. If the Trufflers aren’t hard at work, you’re pretty likely to find our eyes glued to the TV screen, binge-watching (currently) You, Ginny and Georgia or Firefly Lane.

Spotify Wrapped: Truffle Edition

It’s a good time to be a music fan right now – amazing artists, both established and up-and-coming, are dropping hits left, right and centre, and the Truffle team can’t get enough. Whether we’re blasting Paramore’s brand new album This Is Why, jamming to Raye’s My 21st Century Blues or getting emo to Fall Out Boy’s new singles Love From the Other Side and Heartbreak Feels So Good, you can pretty much guarantee we’re having a great time in our music bubbles.

Self Love Season

If there’s one theme we’re noticing throughout our social feeds at the moment, it’s SELF LOVE! 2023 is all about manifesting and making small habit changes to become the best version of yourself. This also means being mindful of the content you’re consuming, ensuring that it’s contributing to your happiness. Some of our favourite positive content to binge right now includes the Guess Who’s Single Again podcast by Indy Hickey, Lizzo’s entire discography (and BRITs performance!) and Helena Rose Cope’s YouTube channel.

To us, Valentine’s Day is about celebrating love in all its forms, whether that means spending some time with your best friends, taking time to show yourself some appreciation or having a snuggle with your pet. Your love is an incredibly powerful thing, and it’s important to nurture and feed it when necessary.

We want to know how you’re celebrating your Valentine’s Day this year. Drop us a comment or DM to let us know!
